Music to My Ears
Organizing your wedding reception, private party, birthday, convention, or any other event in Italy? Have you decided that you can't do without good music? Why not choose something memorable: jazz. Like that of Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Duke Ellington, the film Casablanca, or the hot jazz from Al Capone's clubs in Chicago. You will surely have an extraordinary atmosphere. Exclusively live music, using authentic vintage musical instruments, directed by Michael Supnick, musician with many years of concert experience in jazz festivals, radio broadcasts, and television shows. We do not use electronic keyboards or computers to create music.
The choice of musical group and its repertoire should be made with the same attention and cure that is used in order to decide on the bridal apparel, the menu, and the location of the reception. Don't forget that musicians often appear in the photos of your special moments, and their music will be heard in any video recordings that you make.
The Sweetwater Jazz Band is specialized for these events: during the cocktail; between courses; during the cutting of the wedding cake; during or after dessert. A true event in itself. During the banquet the music must be soft enough to permit conversation - a trio or quartet can be the right choice to accompany the meal.

Led by Michael Supnick - showman, instrumentalist, crooner. The group was formed with the idea to combine entertainment and amusement, with good quality New Orleans style jazz. SWEETWATER JAZZ BAND, dedicated to Louis Armstrong, inspired by the small street bands of New Orleans. These “street parades”, were used for public celebrations like Mardì Gras, for the manifestations, wedding ceremonies, and advertising purposes: the arrival or departure of a riverboat, before a politician's electoral speech, or for the opening of a new store or business.
The Sweetwater, founded in 1996 by Michael Supnick, is now well-known to roman audiences. Their first CD dates back to 1997. The group have participated in numerous concerts, jazz festivals, and private parties all over Italy.
The Sweetwater is a Traditional “Dixieland” or “Brass Band”. The group can range from a minimum of five to a maximum of seven members. They can perform out in the open air, even in movement, or on a stage - very flexible because amplification is not necessary.
